Sarah Luhtanen

Sarah Luhtanen is a political communications strategist with firsthand experience as both a candidate and a campaign professional. An Arkansas native with almost two decades of combined experience as a public educator, writer, and editor, Sarah understands how the written word can transform communities, inspire change, and encourage civic engagement. Her experience as a candidate for justice of the peace gives her a deep, practical understanding of what candidates face when translating values into clear, compelling messages.

Sarah brings a sharp eye for narrative, tone, and audience, helping campaigns articulate who they are, what they stand for, and why it matters. Her work bridges strategy and execution, ensuring messaging is not only strong on paper but usable across real campaign conditions.

She is a graduate of the Women’s Campaign School at the LBJ School of Public Affairs and the Emerge Bootcamp Campaign Management program.

At The Campaign Collective, Sarah supports campaigns with message development, communications planning, and alignment across digital, print, and field touchpoints.
